From 25-27 June the Austrian National Tourist Office and Vorarlberg Tourismus organised the atb_experience 2017. Every two years, general managers, product developers and tourism experts from the most important touristic markets come to Austria to meet relevant partners from the national tourism industry. Together, they experience and discuss Austrian tourism products.
About 200 national and international tourism experts, coming from 28 different nations, followed the invitation to exchange their expertise and experience. Central theme of the atb_experience 2017 were the longings of society and how the tourism industry can meet those demands.
The event opened with a group hike on Sunday, followed by dinner at Rud-Alpe where the relaxed atmosphere invited participants to network and socialise. The following days were on the one hand dedicated to the networking_platform and thematic suggestions which were discussed and further developed in small groups and on the other hand, through the outdoor_experiences, to product experiences. The participants could choose between nine different product experiences: from an exclusive cookery talk with Joschi Walch or a poetry walk along The Green Ring with Daniela Egger to a sing-along with Robert Pakleppa.
At the following evening_event, held at the experience_hub, the participants had a chance to review the ideas they had gathered during the day, further strengthen their contacts and they had already begun to make plans for future cooperation.
After having breakfast together at the Rud-Alpe, the international participants departed to their respective best of_experiences. Their stay in different Austrian provinces is an essential part of the atb_experience as it offers an additional experience of the wide range of Austrian touristic products.
