Ladies and gentlemen,

Austria is a hospitable country, a characteristic that is valued by visitors from all over the world. What could be nicer, after a long hike or a sunny day’s skiing, than stopping off at a pub, or a warm welcome back at your accommodation? It really perks you up when Austria’s famed hospitality is central to your holiday. It’s a moving experience for both sides when there’s a spark between host and guests, when a relationship develops. The guest becomes part of this individual experience, simultaneously blossoming with and shaping it.

Meeting unconventional and visionary hosts and encountering the passion with which they bring their vision to life is infectious because the holidays they offer, which are deeply rooted in the Austrian soul, do not follow fleeting trends, but are full of creativity and individual flair.

We would like to use the third atb_experience to introduce you to these unique holidays created by passionate hosts. In conjunction with Vorarlberg Tourismus, the Austrian National Tourist Office has compiled an exciting programme entitled “#austriantime. tourist-in-residence”. The programme, based in Lech Zürs, focuses on international networking, diverse product experiences and product development ideas. A variety of outdoor_experiences provide additional environments in which guests and hosts can communicate and engage and the subsequent best of_experiences show the overall diversity of Austria as a tourist destination.

I can assure you that Austrian hosts have gone all out to give their guests a totally inspirational stay. It only remains for me to wish you all an exciting and successful atb_experience, with lots of ideas and insights to take home with you!
